    Unhappy Connecting LCD to Laptop

    Help!

I'm trying to connect my Samsung LCD LE32R74BD to my HP laptop using a VGA (male to male) cable. It doesn't seem to want to work! I have checked the cable using my PC monitor and that works fine. When the cable is plugged into the back of the TV (and I've pressed Fn+F5 on the laptop to change the output) nothing happens. I press "source" and all it flicks between are the Sky box and DVD player, which are both plugged in with scart cables. Does anyone have any idea of what I am doing wrong??

    Thanks

    Re: Connecting LCD to Laptop

what happens if you reboot the laptop with the vga cable plugged in? also make sure you are switching through all the AVs on the TV - our plasma has 6, and for some reason we have to go through the menu on the tv to get PC RGB as the button on the remote doesnt show anything...

    Re: Connecting LCD to Laptop

Nothing happens when I reboot the laptop, I have tried having the lap top on and then plugging in and have tried plugging in and then turning the laptop on. I have gone through the menu on the TV and looked at the source list but it only shows Sky and DVD, the PC (and others like HDMI which have nothing plugged in) are blanked out and cannot be selected.
