Was looking at the Toshiba but the input over VGA is limited - you won't get 1080 out of it no matter what you do (check the manual for the supported modes)

I've just ordered the Samsung LE40M87, £20 more than the 37" at Empire Direct. There's a few people on AVForums who say they got 1080 over VGA with this model, but I'm going to be using my XBOX at 1080i over composite anyway.

    You do mean component right?
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

Hey, the internet is full of people who claim you can't even tell the difference between regular and high definition sources...

But I'll admit you might be right in this case. I seem to have a mental block on distinguishing between the two, I bough a composite lead for the xbox originally when I got distracted during ordering!

Composite leads: 1 video connection, usually with 2 audio connections. Usually cheap looking and cheap to buy, with red, white and yellow "plugs".
Component leads: 3 video connections, ocasionally with 2 audio connections. Usually poncey looking and overpriced with red, green and blue plugs for video (and if present, red and white/black for audio)

The 360 cable is easier to distinguish, both composite and component cables have audio, so composite has 3 connections and component has 5

Thank for the refresher, but it's not the cables I have a problem with, it's writing the correct word when describing them!
