    Snow Patrol

Let's keep this simple, yesterday I bought Snow Patrol - Final Straw and on first impressions it's one of the best albums I have ever heard, it's simply amazing, go and buy it now....

It is very good I'll admit although not usually my style of music. Laid back and raw are some words to describe it but definately an excellent album.

Another key point - they hail from Northern Ireland

"The less you eat, drink and buy books; the less you go to the theatre, the dance hall, the public house; the less you think, love, theorise, sing, paint, fence, etc., the more you save – the greater becomes your treasure which neither moths nor rust will devour – your capital. The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx

Run is possibly one of the best songs I have ever heard, never seen them live, but I'm hoping they'll be headlining perhaps the Radio1 tent at Reading, or at least have a decent slot.

Agree with all thats been said, looking forward to seeing them in Portsmouth on the coming tour. Look to be a good bet for breaking this year, and with two tours of the USA my bet is the record coare trying to push them in the golden dollarland....

they were the support band for a Grandaddy concert i went to in december, and a combination of total lack of sleep and prime crash-barrier positionning meant myself & my associate were both very... stare-y eyed. Halfway through their set the frontman commented that the two guys in the front looked like they wanted to kill them.

bloody irishmen, convinced everyone's out to get them
