wow must be good
I'll buy 20 to route my 1's and 0's in better quality
would be interesting if you got about 50 metres and did a latency test....
Doubt it would show much difference
There will be no difference. The purity will make very little difference, a decent network card would make a much better choice. I may make some rip off versions and sell them on eBay for £100 each..... house in Chelsea here I come!

hehe
They aren't claiming its for any networking purpose more for interconnecting Denon kit....
Maybe they have crap interface...?
I've often seen this stuff mentioned, never seen a pic of one, and therefore never realised it was a network cable. How bizarre.
What's worse is that many of the folk who buy the Denon kit it's used with will have no idea either. Especially the home-install brigade. They'll just see the invoice and pay for it. I wonder how many installers are honest enough to point this out, when it's an easy £350.
Mad.
Just goes to show, money and common sense don't necessarily go hand in hand.
I wonder if these come with a complimentary stay at a medical facility with padded rooms?
Yeah ...... but would it be a pretty blue?
From what others have said in other discussions, DenonLink isn't ethernet.
However the cable is.
It is a very nice cable, I like the braiding...... it's still a complete waste of money though.
Oh, that's different then. A blue one would clearly be worth the money, but if it's a rather tacky purple it can't be worth more than .... oh, .... erm ... not much more than a couple of hundred quid.
Blue's got to be better sounding, don't it?
You'd think at that price it could at least be blue.
Call it a 'Blu' cable and you can add 20% to the price
Flash a pulse of electric 'blu' neon back and forth, and you can double it again. And a slick name has to be worth an extra 25%.
Which, presumably, is how they came up with the price for this in the first place.
Is it just me or this there a huge degree of gullibility among some consumer segments? I mean, okay, there's a difference between a half-decent speaker cable and a bit of bell-wire, and given a decent audio system (and reasonable hearing) you can hear it. Depending on your standards (and maybe taste in music), it may be pretty subtle, but it's there.
But, any difference in quality from increases in price drop off pretty rapidly, and I can't help but feel that it rapidly reaches the point where the only advantages are either in perception not reality, or where the increase is so insignificant that it's hard to see how it justifies the cost differential. At that point, it's reached the willy-waving stage, and not an investment that's worth the cost.
Where that point is will vary, according to the means of the buyer perhaps, but presumably, this cable is intended for a market segment larger than Bill Gates, Lakshmi Mittal and the Sultan of Brunei?
