For all you camera-philes out there
Looks like Engadget were a little hasty in declaring the most recent photos of it a fake then
EDIT: My mistake, it was the D90 they posted about
http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/15/n...90-for-launch/
Hmm, interesting that they may have gone for the D3's sensor.
The Photokina trade show starting 23rd September may be the target for the launch of three full-frame dSLRs - the Nikon D700, Sony's A900 (name uncertain, but will almost certainly feature an already-announced 24MP sensor), and rumours persist of Canon's successor to the 5D.
The Nikon looks like it'll take on the Canon 5D and it's successor - both should offer amazing high ISO performance, whereas the Sony is going after the ultra-high resolution market instead, and may be competing with medium-format digital backs - with Carl Zeiss on board for lenses, they could do well there too.
Interesting...Nikon are pretty quick on their feet these days. Be interesting to see what Canon announces in response....
