2 Broken TVs in under 6 months

My TV just broke today, after having shown no signs of any problems, it just broke, the picture has gone and its not the aerial.
Normally Id just say, oh well it wasnt exactly new, it was bound to happen eventually, but this is the second TV I have had that has broken in less than 6 months, so its really a bit odd.
My first TV just stopped turning on, again having shown no signs of any problem. I turned it on one morning and watched for an hour or so, then went to turn it on a few hours later and nothing, just wouldnt turn on.
Now my replacement tv, although admittedly a fairly old one, has given up the ghost not 3 months after the last one.
Am I doing something wrong here?
Both TVs had been working fine for several years and now have both died on me out of the blue, the only thing that has changed is their location.
I have recently moved into an appartment that has virgin cable (not the service itself, just the cable) rather than an antenna. It may sound a bit far fetched, but has anyone heard of any problems like this, it really is the only thing I can think of that could cause two perfectly healthy TVs to die without warning.
Thanks for listening to my conspiracy theories

Re: 2 Broken TVs in under 6 months

The first one was a bush, not the best I know but it worked, and the second was a sony, fairly old but again still working fine until just a minute ago.
Just seems odd that they would both break so suddenly within such a short space of time.
