Web Albums

I've recently moved from Picasa to Lightroom 2.1 and am enjoying the ability to do so much more with the photos. What I don't like is the web feature. Picasa's Web Albums were wonderfully simple to create and provided all the features I wanted.

I eventually managed to figure out how to achieve something similar in Lightroom but had to use 3rd party software to FTP the exported album to my ISPs webspace.

First have a look at the two web albums:

I like the clean interface with the Lightroom version but I don't like how small the photos are! Can this be improved upon?

Other questions:

Is there an easier way with Lightroom other than exporting a web folder and then FTPing it?
Are there any other websites that offer a better facility for web albums?
