    Best dts Test DVD?

Just installed a Yamaha DSP E800 add on surround sound processor (bargain @ £240 from superfi) and i'm looking for a couple of DVDs to watch over the weekend to really sho off the dts and dolby digital surround sound.

Anybody got some suggestions for me?

There's a site that has a mini-dvd on it with all the DTS/DD/THX trailors on it. I always seem to answer these threads when i have no access to my favourites but im sure someone else will give you the link.

The latest Bond is supposed to be brilliant for DTS... or so my brother says! Haven't been round to his place yet to hear it though!

And Bindibadgi, that avatar is a bit Risqué isn't it? Or am I looking at it wrong.....

Evil Dead 1 is quite creepy with the lights off. Weird sounds coming from all directions.

The superbit edition of The Fifth Element is good, with a nice sonic range from operatics to action.

I've heard that Pearl Harbor is supposed to be good, but I wouldn't know as I'm not wasting my time watching that crappy movie again.

Fast and the Furoius is good for DTS, The Rock is great for DD5.1.

Have to try out Die another day on my system

Gladiator for sheer "in-yer-face" power, T2 for the same and gut-wrenching bass, Fast and the Furious for agressive surround sound and bass, and Die Another Day for ear-shattering sound.

Suffice to say , all those sound terrifying on my system

Just to let you know how i'm getting on. New Bond (Die another Day) was excellent so thanks for the tip Big_Al.

Been watching pirates of the carribean this morning and thats got some good panning and the sword fights put you right in the middle of the action so i can recommend that to anyone. Think i'm gonna watch fast and furios with the lads and some beers tomorrow.

you GOTTA do Gladiator.....it really is AWESOME.

Near the beginning, the soldiers drag Russel Crowe off tothe woods to kill him and even though he is bound and about to have his head chopped off, he defeats the Centurion and his soldiers...

the atmosphere, the birds in the woods in the back ground, the galloping horse, the steel on steel....

    blimey I LOVE that film

and DTS is the way togo

Zak is right, Gladiator is just superb. The battle right at the beginning is fantastically enveloping
