I'm going to be getting a new TV soon. Having read the reviews at www.homecinemachoice.com I'm going for the Philips.

Cheapest I can find is here
    http://www.digitaldirectuk.com/produ...roduct_id=3054

Normally £1499, get it for £974.

What? No-one's mentioned Loewe yet? :O

£81 over budget, but infinitely better than anything in it's price range. It just oozes style! The thing that marks this TV out from the crowd is the attention to detail that's gone into it. The kind of polished feel that you only usually see from the likes of Bang & Olufsen.

Having said that, I've got a basic Philips 28" widescreen and I'm very happy with it. The picture quality is wonderful. I've heard only good things about the Toshiba TVs too.
