£100-150 to spend on a point and shoot?

That will hopefully include an 8GB memory card so really around £135ish.

What do you guys suggest please? I have been hearing good things about the Ixus 95is which fits well into my budget.

I'll be as said mostly pointing and shooting, and will barely if ever using the video function. Should hopefully be rechargable and not use e.g. aa batteries.

    Thanks in advance.

I've been looking for the same thing and not sure myself

I've narrowed my choice down to 3 models:
Canon Ixus 95, currently £115 on Amazon
Panasonic Lumix FS7, £110 on Amazon
    Panasonic Lumix FS15 (12MP), £127 on Amazon

I've found it hard to find reviews for all 3 on the same site that go into any sort of detail. TheReg gave FS7 80% and Ixus95 70%, but I think that was mainly the price that lost it marks. TechRadar (Future) gave both Ixus95 and FS15 3.5 stars, and the FS7 4 stars.

Very difficult to decide, although I'm thinking that I probably couldn't go wrong with any of them?

No-one has ever 'gone wrong' by buying a canon ixus. Easy choice, you can buy without worry.

I've got a Canon Ixus 95, pretty decent.

    I'd give it 8/10.

Re: £100-150 to spend on a point and shoot?

Hmm I'm verging towards an Ixus 95is.

I went for it after reading a few reviews.

£14 or so for a class 6 memory card
    £6 for a hard case

So £135 altogether. We'll see how it does.
