    NICE CALL MAN....

and we were at the Aylesbury Gig last night.....the "warm up2 and we were "used" ....and abused for 2 and a half hours....

It was.....WILD in places and pants in others....

but I am immensely proud tohave been able to get there

I walked up to a dude with a BRIGHT RED MOHECAN and asked him if he owned a Mini and he didn't

    so that wasn't Crimson Avenger

I wasn't asking the other 500 people tho

    Yup - seconded

Agree with you Zak -2 and a half hours of music, some great, some not so but overall a good start to the tour. I expect there to be a few changes in the setlist as the tour rolls onwards. Didn't think much of Fantastic Place live, although it works well as an album track. 21st Century again - no more pls, well for a bit anyhow! Would have preferred Drilling Holes to The Damage.

No red mohican here dude! LMAO

The marbles cars photo shoot was a bit of a laugh, I even got interviewed by the Boom Boom boys LOL

Will post some pics here later

Thank heavens for that......you didn't like some either....well...not didn't like....just thought..."Oh get on with it"

BUT.....immensely proud to have heard "The Party" live...sad song...horrible even...but very good live

But finest.....whats the name of the prostitute that the track was named after on Marbles....can't remember the ddamn name

Beautifull song.....I have opinions that I shan't take to the Marillion FOrum cos I dont wanna be seen as a troll....I have to deal with them here as it is

BUT....as you're listening I feel that H is near his end......his voice is losing something....either he is not involved with his heart anymore....or the others are not including him as an "instrument" but more as a voice.

And H's voice IS an instrument....he is NOT a singer in the true sense....he doesn't carry the sheer brute force of Fish or Steven Tyler or Freddie Mercury....he tries....but its wrong to try

His voice is musical like an instrument....and its not being written in made me sad to realise that

Definatley - I think 21st Centuary was the worst song, I have to say I was rather bored during that Wasn't too keen on The Invisible Man either.

....Angelina, that was ace, and Neverland. I thought Under the Sun was good too, and The Damage was far better live than on the album although I still need some convincing on that!

Anyway... all in all... I thoroughly enjoyed the gig, it was plenty long enough to excuse a few poorer tracks.
AND... another cool thing was that "Hogshead", just round the corner from the gig, were playing old Fish Marillion before it started!! That was ace!!

Oh... and hats off to Steve Rothery... he was fantastic, as always

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

Have thought about what you've wrote and I think you may have something there. After listening to Marbles a few more times after the web gig I'd have to agree that there is something different about H and his voice on this album. Maybe you're right or maybe its something completely different but there sure is something.

Listen to Afraid of Sunlight/Brave and then compare with Marbles.........all excellent albums but H sounds quite different in a number of places on the latter.........

Don't agree with your comments on Ian - Ian is Ian, as laid back a person as you could meet - thought his drumming was miles better on Marbles compared Anorak.
