    Question Blu-Ray playback software

As title. Should have a BD drive coming tomorrow and wondering if its still the case, looking over older threads, there is software needed such as PowerDVD123 or AnyDVD HD. If so, are these still the best ones ?
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Re: Blu-Ray playback software

I use Total Media Theatre... Gold I think. The reason for this over PowerDVD is it plays back HD-DVDs without being hacked and I think it is better at handling ISOs and disc contents held hard drives.

    +1 on Arcsoft

You'll need any AnyDVD HD if you don't have HDCP compliant content, or if you want to playabck disks from the different regions. Though, I think there's a way to easily reset the region counter on TMT3 though I've never tried.

    Re: Blu-Ray playback software

Well, much to my surprise my parcel got delivered this morning low and behold there was a LG disc in there that features PowerDVD8 ! I thought OEM items didn't come with anything ?

    Re: Blu-Ray playback software

    Hi,

PowerDVD Ultra v10 user here coupled with AnyDVD HD & Daemon tools for mounting iso's, AnyDVD HD from time to time does need updating but this combo seems to work quite well.

    Hope that helps.
