Picture Break Up - Weird

Hi guys, I was wondering if someone might have a clue as to something happening to a setup I've put together.

There are two problems.
I'll give a summary here and then details below.

To Summarise:

Problem 1. Sky Box to Screen (using component on both ends) gives me only a garbled image.

Problem 2. Jukebox video to same Screen (also component) is good at first but degrades every time.

Any ideas?


Details:

1 - Having connected a Sky Box to an LCD screen I can get an image but it's scrambled - either it's a coloured, blizzardy mess, or a I get repetition of the image in thin vertical bars - also with some scramble. The Sky works fine on a projector I have it hooked up to but it doesn't like the LCD screen.

2 - This is the weird one. When I connect a jukebox via component video the signal starts out great - for about 15 mins - and then it degrades until it begins to flicker on and off and the begins to give me a no signal message every now and then. It just gets worse and worse.

With both of these problems I have no issues with the video sources when hooked up to a projector I currently use.

I've also tried connecting the inputs to a different screen of the same model in order to rule out screen fault and I have connected a different source - a glorified flash drive running a slide show, and it works fine. Finally I've also tried using different cables but had no luck.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Surely you would assume that the component input on the screen is diddlied?

Am I missing something?

Well, I wouldn't have thought so, because I tried two different screens of the same model. The effect on the video also varies - the slideshow works fine, Sky doesn't work at all, the jukebox video works but degrades over time.
