    Onyko 609 - 4mm banana plug issue

    Hi,

Got a small problem, hopefully one of you guys could provide extra help in that regard if you have a similar setup and experience with this.

Anyway, I bought quite big speaker cable diameter (around 6mm) and couldn't easily fit it in my original 'proper' banana based ones which look like this:

They are great little ones with dual screw but I decided as I had to cut a bit out for my 6mm cable to fit a 4mm hole, I would probably be better upgrading it in the future. A few days ago I bought these:

They are a slightly different shape and are 4mm but it just doesn't seem to as easily go in and I am afraid of using force. The great thing about these are that it isn't just held on by a screw at the side and I can use solder to help it.

    Where I bought it from:

So my question, are they just a bit tough to go in or are they some different kind of banana plug? I did measure the actual tip and it is 4mm just wider at the 'spring' part.

    Many thanks.

They're normal bananas yeah, and they're typically tight out the box.

That said though are you in the habit of unplugging your speakers often? Because unless you are, banana plugs aren't really needed.
