    Cable/sky/phone

G'afternoon chaps - this thread may get a bit long winded, but it does have some slight relevance to this forum bit.

At the moment we have 1 BT phoneline into our house, this serves 4 computers connecting to the internet (56k), and the house phone. We have terrestial TV, BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4.

We are going to move to ADSL shortly.

Dad wants to have a business line at home, if BT install this it costs £100. So, we want to keep the BT line and use it for ADSL, and business calls, moving our exisiting home number to a new line, this will be from a TV provider so sky, or ntl etc.

So we want to get TV and phone from the same company, not using a BT phoneline anywhere.

What providers will do this? - this is a question about the TV and phone only, not internet!

You might want to consider cable internet instead of ADSL.
I have cable & my sister's family has ADSL (tiscali) & hers sucks.
Cable is truly always on whereas with her ADSL you still have a slight wait for it to connect & it seems to drop out sometimes.

Depends what package you are after I suppose.
I've been happy with NTL (plus we are now getting an upgrade - I'm now on 750k) .
