    Post your digi cameras

Post your digital cameras. I shoot film aswell (Ilford pan 500 B+W) and develop that in the dark room, however being lasy (and costs), I use digital a huge amount more.

    I'll get the ball rolling:

Kodak LS443 - a good camera, excellent (for a camera of it's price) manual control and a good schneider lense. Pity it's had 100 quid spent on it since buying due to a design fault on all LS443 (found 100s of other people with this problem).

Am thinking about getting the Minolta Dimage A200, if I got a DSLR then I'd want to go for the best (with that dual CCD thingy from Fuji), so this would more than do me.

I have a coolpix 2000, but am thinking of moving my slr over to digital. My 35mm is a pentax and unfortunately thier dslrs are a little hard to come buy at a resonable price. Consequently am thinking of a 300d or a 10d, would probably settle ofr a 75-300 and as wide angle as I could afford. I dont mind using manual focus prime lenses so that could cut the cost of the wide lens a bit.

With the release of the 350D, the second hand prices of the original 300D have come down a fair bit. And ever since the release of the 20D last October, s/h 10D prices have fallen too.

Now, with the release of the 5D and 1D2N in the middle bracket, a few people may be tempted to move to a s/h original 1D2 or new 1D2N, meaning there'll be a fair few 20D's knocking around for sensible money in the next couple of months...

[QUOTE=Matt1eD]Am thinking about getting the Minolta Dimage A200QUOTE]

Had a play with an A200 the other week, was half tempted to buy one until I tried it. To be honest the pics it takes would be as good as most dslrs, but I found the handling to be very bad. Worst aspect was the zoom on the lens, I wouldnt trust it to last over a long period as it appeared to be plastic on plastic. Also had a play with the canon pro1, was very impressive. Would be a good choice for anybody getting a canon dslr, as the flashguns would be compatible. Canon sell refurb pro1 on ebay, they tend to go for £320.

Cheers Flibb. I'd be expecting it to last about three or so years, no-one on dpreview.com seems to have found a problem. Will have alook at the pro1 though.

first camera was a sony DSC-F1 - an awesome little camera, but only 640x480 res. loars of shooting modes though, including continuous (which on a camera from 97 is quite impressive..) http://images.digitalkamera.de/Kamer...nyDSC-F1-M.jpg

kodak cx4230. a very basic limiting camera from 2 years back. 2mp, 3x optical. point and shoot. has served me well, but its not up to waht i want - particularly frustrating is a lack of manual shutter speed adjustment

soon to be replaced by a IS-S2 or a dmc-fz20 (this week in fact)
