    DVDSoon bargains!

www.dvdsoon.com - just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of them.

The name couldn't be more of a misnomer, it should really be dvdlater.com, but if you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks (or a month occasionally) the prices on R1 DVDs are stunning. I got Robocop, The Miracle Worker, and Before Sunrise delivered for less than £15, and the Teen Wolf/ Teen Wolf Too DVD for £3.98 or something silly like that. I just ordered Runaway Train and a Roger Corman double set for £8.20.

Of course it's R1 so you have to put up with 3:2 pulldown motion judder, but I find that I only notice it when I'm actually looking for it; I haven;t figured out how to force myself not to look for it yet.

P.S. this should maybe be in Bargain Hunt but I figure it's more relevant in here.

Lots of bargains, long waits for delivery?

    Sounds like SplashDVD.

I know it says free shipping, but is that for orders to UK/Europe as well?

Also, any trouble with customs, or do they mark it as a gift type thing?

It's free shipping to Europe (and worldwide as far as I can tell)- that's what makes it such a bargain. They just mark it as a DVD; if it costs less than £18 (which pretty much everything except box-sets does) then you don't have to worry about import duty anyway.

We just watched The Miracle Worker with Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke, what an incredible film! For £4.32 you can't go wrong, I highly recommend it. Don't watch it with anyone you'd be ashamed to cry in front of though
