Steelseries siberia v2 seem to be the ones worn by gamers at e-sports events. Plus they have a little bling bling to them as well (with buzzing light or lights)

There are just so many . I know a few people who rave about the vibration gaming headsets. I have tried out the Rosewill one and a Genius one and I though they were both pretty cool. They are fairly inexpensive too. (about the 40-60 mark)
If you are planning on using it on next gen... if thats the case I would wait until the new models are out (Wifi Direct for Xbox One / Bluetooth for PS4)

I have Roccat Kave's and they are pretty decent although they are a bit heavy. I've had mine two years and just recently one of the little square headband pads came off while moving home. Easy job to glue back on. they are pretty solid, hence the weight.
Honestly though I think I'd rather just get a decent, more comfortable, set of stereo ones and use the dolby virtual surround on the Xonar DG card. Also having to reconnect all the cables is a pain as is the stupid remote control. Its designed to sit on the table but I'd rather just have an inline controller as I barely use the remote.
When I buy a new pair comfort will be just as important as sound quality.
From what I hear gaming headsets are a rip-off. They market them as being amazing for gaming or the like and charge a premium.
