Yeah, the depth is a killer. Let's hope the prices of LCD/plasma TVs reduces dramastically soon....

Our 28" widescreen is only a tad deeper than my bedroom TV. My cabinet is the thing I'm worried about, not quite sure how much more the damn thing can hold!!

As others have said - shiny new TV and lots more DVDs!!!!!

Perhaps a RPTV as an alternative to a plasma - they are thin(ish) and are a fair bit cheaper than the decent plasma screens.

An RPTV or a projector are the only two I'd consider really. But only when funds allow! I care more about sound than image, and besides being slightly small, the image quality of my current TV is superb. And yes I'm constantly buying more DVDS!

indeed, they're working for me now. everything looks a lot neater than my kit

speakers + sub look very good. front projection is definately the way to go but your room really has to be based around it, ie. not particularly suitable for a bedroom, still, a decent 4:3 telly does it's job, it's what i happily use, at least until a dedicated HT room becomes available!

I got a 32" Loewe Xelos.....and frankly its sex in a box

They are NOT flat screens....very few TV's really are, most havea lense on them to make the screen flat at the edges....Loewe doesn't hold to that, so my £1000 wide boy has a gentle curve...and its much better cos it doesnt reflect so badly

and the remote is pure class, 3 scarts with unmpteen different input options(inc RGB on two of them), the best "resizing" Ive ever seen, and frankly....I love it

yeah 100hz 28"ers are starting at around 500 these days. check reviews first thou. my one is lush quality (toshiba something) - and i need 100hz to avoid migranes but the geometry is a little dodgy. gonna upgrade to a projector next
