Hi GeorgeStrom,
Do you mind have a think about wireless solution ? Wireless HDMI transmission.
I use a 10m HDMI cable and picture / sound quality is pretty much perfect so you can ignore everything google tells you about signal deteriation.
Otherwise you can look at HDMI streaming over wi-fi (5ghz band). Some kits out there but from what I have researched before about them they are fairly unreliable and quite costly.
If it's streaming over WiFi, some compression will be necessary, which could be a problem, especially for high res content and gaming (as I was saying earlier).

Not sure how the wireless would cope with 1080p content, also I forgot to mention but it will also be used for some games.
Was looking at just getting a generic scan cable, don't really see any reasons not to unless they're known for poor build quality?
O Jimmy... This thread has been dead for 6 months now

Wireless can sometimes be a bit iffy, using a cable should be fine if you run it along/in the walls
I have heard a lot of good about intel wireless display adaptor but it is pretty expensive for what it is.
Wireless display adapter is great, I have it built into my new 4k tv and my laptop and it is seamless.
Quite apt that it's nearly Halloween since there's a few Zombie threads emerging
