    Mixxing tracks?

Been asked to do a mix of certain parts of tracks on an album. Have no idea where to start though. Have the cd next to me, hoping there will be a program which should be able to let me do this very quickly and easily.

If your not bothered about beat matching etc... then use Nero.

Simply add your tracks into Nero, highlight them all, right click > properties.

Theres a tick box saying "Cross Fade with Previous track", put a tick in it and set how many seconds in you want it.

If you are bothered about beat matching, then use something like Audacity. But it'd take me a day and a half to write up how to use that...

A program called "Cool MP3 Splitter" will be able to cut up your songs, to get the bits you want, then you can simply use Nero to cross fade (or mix) your 'songs' together.

If your having trouble getting the songs off the CD, use a very nifty program called "dbPoweramp". It's free, and it's fantastic. Can convert an audio CD to mp3 quickly, easily and hassle free.

There is a program called otsDJ which lets you do stuff like that. I'm sure if you google it you'll find out more.
