    Spirited away (animated movie)

I think this is out on the 12th of September in the cinemas

I'm a bit of a sucker for animated stuff, and I saw this last year (in cantonese) and its a beautifully made flick hehe.

If you're a youngen, go see it if you're a olden, find a little nephew or niece or something to go see it with LOL.

Hullo all btw, I don't have many posts, but I have to start getting active to view the for sale section! hehe

Its meant to be really good. Is it for kiddies or is it like a more adult animated anime-ish?

Japanese anime always seems to be a bit more 'mature' than disney type stuff...

That's what i mean - its not disney at all - they ONLY did the english dub for the movie and gave it some advertising cause people are so stupid they wont see any animated movie unless it is disney.. muppets

Gonna have to go watch it though. Anime is defo not just for kids! Anime is great sci-fi, adult or mature storylines - just check anime forums or anime threads. That's why i asked if it was proper anime or "disneyfied" for kiddies.

imho, spirited away was more like kids Disney than conventional anime. I wouldnt want to pay to go watch it at the cinima... but I guess I'm just picky

I'ed rate it all the way down there with lion king and pochahontas etc.

I've had this film for ages now, saw some parts of the dubbed version on BBC1 last night and thought ugh, really does not feel the same as the original. Guess it wouldnt appeal to the kiddies if they couldnt understand it
