28" Widescreen tellys?- Quick replies pls! :)

    Hi

Argos is offering 20% off all widescreenTVs till tuesday. I am looking at going for one of the cheaper 28" sets. Can anyone tell me if the Beko 284248WNS TV is any good? Is it worth paying out for a more expensive model? Any suggestions? Is there a distinct advantage to going with a flat screen one?

Quick answers would be appreciated as the offer ends tomorrow

    Thanks

i saw one advertised on tv for £159 i think - but i can't remember who was selling it - maybe it was argos. sounds very good though price wise.

might be worth going and having a look at it in store if possible as then you can see for yourself how it compares to the other ones

Yes that was the Becko one. I need opinions of if its any good or worth paying more for a better screen?

    Thanks

Philips PW6006 or 6008 at Ebuyer are cracking buys. I too have been looking at 28" widescreens and I'm prob going to pick up one of the ones I mentioned in the next fortnight.

Not sure... I think the 6008 is a new production run of the 6006 but I don't know the exact changes. The 6006 is a cracking TV for that price. It's not totally flat but it's pretty close to it. We've had one at my parents' place for three years and it's still going strong
