    TFT Monitor..... Any good????

Been looking for a cheapish TFT monitor as I'm going to be selling my current rig, and I am moving all my PC stuff into my bedroom, and my 17" monitor is just too big.....

It looks stylish, it will go with my new Shuttle and it is adjustable...... only thing is, it's made by Novatech.... who are they!?!

What are your views. It says that the interface is DVI / VGA, can someone explain this please?

    Kind Regards

    Nick

It's probably not made by novatech but by another manufactuar and rebranded as novatech.

The things to watch out for with 15" TFT monitors is that the maximum resolution is only 1024x768, which I find quite low. Also, the response times for the monitor aren't mentioned so the monitor might not be very good for games.

DVI / VGA means that you can either connect it up via an anologue connection to your graphics card (the blue socket on your card) or via a digital connection (the white socket on your card). Digital is definately the way to go if your graphics card supports it. Not all monitors ship with both cables though.
