    The Thrills

    Evening all

Just went to see The Thrills tonight in Exeter. Really enjoyed it - i havent got any of their albums, have heard what has been in the charts; so im not a big fan.

    I am now.

Played an excellent set and to round it off they got lots of the audience up on stage playing guitars, and precussion stuff...great.

If you havent seen them i would say go as soon as you can, and tickets were only £13.50.

I was due to see them play in Belfast this time last year, and stay with a cousin of mine who lives up that way, but it all fell through due to family issues.

I'll make sure I get to see them at some point though, I guess you could say I'm a fan, owning both albums, a couple of singles, and some promo stuff.

And there's no way I can do the 24th because:

    A) There is no time for the tickets to arrive
    B) That would be 3 nights in a row where my evening is taken up, and coursework doesn't write itself.

Shame cause the Brixton Academy is a great venue, was there on Thursday for Keane.

Anyone been to Hammersmith Palais before? People have told me it's a great venue, but I need more opinions

Showing my age, but I've seen a fair few bands at Hammersmith Palais.

Most memorable was The Damned, early eighties.

Great venue. Very rough and ready but with astrange kinda dickensian/decadent/spoiled grandness atmosphere.

    Sortta thing

The moshing at the Damned's gig was... er, frightening.

In short, go, you'll like it
