    Sorry, I'm still not following

    Here I go anyway.

I'm not aware of any banana plugs that come in 2.5mm or 3.5mm,

2.5mm and 3.5mm I associate with phone connectors, do you mean these?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phone_connector_(audio)

If so, what signal is going though it? What do you need it converted to signal-wise or are you just after a passive adapter?

I've seen 2mm banana plugs, are you after a 2.5mm or 3.5mm phone to 2mm banana plug?

    Umm.

Despite what that website says, ascfar as I'm concerned, that plug shown isn't a banana plug .... which by the way are usually 4mm. I use them all the time on bench power supplies .... and some speaker terminals. Banana plugs have four (or sometimes two) spring-loaded 'leaves' in the sides, designed to ensure contact, and that they stay plugged in.

That plug shown looks to me to be a 'jack' plug, which certainly do come in 2.5mm, 3.5mm and 6.35mm (1/4") variants.

But I've never come across a 2mm variant, personally, and as far as I know, it's not a standard size, which means finding an adapter may be .... problematic.

    And here's the biggest issue.

There have been a variety of companies using non-standard sizes because they don't want standard plugs used. Then, you have to consider dimensions other than the plug diameter, such as how many conductive segments there are, the size of those conductive segments, the size of insulating separators, etc, and exactly what voltage might be where. Plug the wrong non-standard plug in and you risk damaging equipment.

    Re: 2.5 or 3.5 to 2 mm adapter ?

What is it you are trying achieve? Ie, connect what to what? If it is audio you might want a 2.5 or 3.5 mm jack plug to phono plug

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-ess...able-15m-a77nu

    Or http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/phono-plug...-adapter-rw06g

If it is for power applications ic can get a bit more complicated as there are a lot of power adapters, and jack plugs are not ideal as they can momentarily short out if they are connected live.
