Any HD players support FLAC or any other lossless compression, like Monkey Audio?

As for the thread title : ive found OGG to be the format of choice for me. I used MP3 for ages, once finding out about this wonderfull format, all my CD collection was re-ripped in it.

The Karma's popped up twice in this thread, and it satisfies your FLAC condition...it also does gapless playback and has ogg support.

Go for the Iriver H10. They are fantastic little players, both me and my dad have one!

Sound quality is awesome and if you like SRS Wow then the H10 has this option in the equaliser settings.

What about the new 6gb ipod mini, the reason i am shying away from the rio karma is the uglyness, i would rather have something thin and sleek than short and fat. If i got some proper seinhheiser headphones (which i am already) and put everything on ogg on the ipod 6gb, would it sound as good as the zen micro. I loved the sound of the zen mircro, i thought it would excellent and i don't really
want to buy andything that delivers inferioir sound quality. Thanks for your suggestions, keep them coming in...

the ipod mini only supports .mp3 and .aac so .ogg is not an option.

so... the karma is made by a denon/marantz company, supports true gapless playback as well as lossless audio and a full 5-band parametric equaliser, all with an exemplary SNR, but doesn't match your spec in your first post because it's not pretty?

just buy an ipod and wave it at strangers in the street like everybody else seems to do

I am trying to get the best blend of everything, and i was simply inquiring about the sound quality of the ipod mini. My situation has changed slightly because of my last zen breaking with the headphone jack problem, i don't feel safe enough to buy another because of the bad stories about them. I appreciate your comments on the rio karma, and I am not the sort of person who does that with ipods, otherwise i would have bought one straight away. The problem with the rio i think is the way it will fit into my pocket with it's shape, not the fact that i want and ipod to showoff, not at all.John, appreciate any more suggestions.

the shape of the rio karma 20 looks to me as if it is too bulky and spaure to fit in a pocket as confortably as a sleek ipod or zen micro, i was saying

I just got an Irver H340! Its so good, the it also has SRS sound prosessing, which makes it sound sublime. I got it off ebay. The movies work! Its a hard drive. And you can use Ogg's which are suposedly the best compression formatt.
