    Front Audio Sockets

Ok hopefully this will be an easy question and answer...

Well, in my PC i use an Audigy LS soundcard as apposed to the onboard sound (from my A7V600) the audigy is quite a step up from the onboard one. But anyway i was wondering is it possible to buy a front bay port, i.e. a 5.25 inch one to go in my case so i can have audio ports on the front of my PC, so i can use headphones when i want to?

I currently use 5.1 surround speakers as well, and a mic, so will that make any difference?

If i can buy this, how does it work? Just an internal cable?

What will the quality be like etc etc. and how much is it likely to cost. Any help would be much appreciated, i.e. links etc.

    Thanks in Antcipation

    Ian

PS. I would probably buy some of those Zalman surround headphones would those work and are there are there any better substitutes (head phone wise) to play casually on CS when i want to be in my own world! So hopefully the output on the front on the PC will have surround sound output? Thanks

buy a better audigy - creative do some cars with drive bay ports, you plug it in, it has an internal cable, and you get a load of ports (headphone included) on the front.

    ..

just checked - they dont do internal drive bays any more - a quick search on ebay will find you an audigy 1 with internal bay, or get one of these with an external bay
