i know several mistakes in star wars, i think the funniest is when luke, han and obi-wan have left the droids in the control room - watch one of the rear stormtroopers bump his head when they break through the door to get in...!

    Equilibrium..

    beat this then..

John Preston kills sweeper team, in the next scene switches guns on his partner, is later arrested by his partner, and it is proven that it was his partners gun that was used to kill the sweaper scene..

But i thoguht that was the whole point of the story - to make him think he'd won, then the black dude comes back at the end to try and kill him.

    true

the point is the order of the scenes

John Preston killed the sweeper team BEFORE he switched guns with his partner, so there is no way that the tracking data could have shown that his partners gun was used to kill the team.

If that was part of the set-up, then I think that the script really falls on it's face, because it is such a glaring error

AHH! NOW I UNDERSTAND! *ding* You know, i was thinking about this when i watched it and couldnt work out why i was confused. I just put it down to me being a little slow on the subject, not that they had screwed it up LOL!

    Saving Private Ryan

last scene where Jackson is shooting from the bell tower, a german is on fire and you hear the gunshot, the soldier falls but theres no recoil, no smoke or muzzle flash from the rifle, annoys the hell outta me everytime i see it.

I still love the film though.

Recoil, muzzle flash and smoke are overdone in films, I've had the pleasure of firing a Lee Enfield .303 and asode from the noise the recoil from the gun was suprisingly small.

I don't know if you could call it a mistake but in Bullet proof Monk
when they are talkng outside and Kar (Seann William Scott) says something like *we're in America* and quite clearly in the background you can see a CANADA TRUST bank !
Plus the fact I know the whole film was shot in Toronto, Canada.....and I'd walked along that same patch of concrete
    Come to think of it:
When they are on the boat at some point in the movie...at night time you can clearly see the flashing lights of the CN tower ! yet they claim to be in *America*
