    Family Guy definately surpassed the Simpsons in comedy value . . . but Simpsons is the original!

    One animation that is just NOT funny in the slightest is King of The Hill - that sucks major donkey baws!

    True teh Simpsons is original but they have run out of new material. season 4 was at its peak but the 10th season........ouch .

    i do agree with teh King of teh Hill thing though. Ugly stuff going on there.

    It's different to what seems to be a similar simpsons format and seems to suit people of all ages. it should def. be aired again.

    about 4AM on Sky One on some day of the week. i was randomly watching TV & it appeared.

    they cut about 3 minutes from it though, even at 4AM...

    as for canning it, it's partially down to money, but it's mostly political. Family Guy & Futurama were doomed from the outset. they were never aired consistantly, never advertised, episodes shown out of order at random times & days. Fox worked hard to kill both shows. Why? Who knows. Cartoon Network have more than doubled their entire viewer base by showing Family Guy & Futurama reruns at 11PM in the states. more than DOUBLED. There are rumours being thrown about of CN trying to get the money together to get another series made of Family Guy - they have a shoestring budget & it ain't easy, with an almost zero chance of them affording Futurama's $1m/episode costs, but Futurama being easier to do on a low budget.

    Summation: Fox & the general populace loose, Cartoon Network wins. Since CN's impossible viewer increase, Fox have nosedived. Wonder why...

    Family Guy is great, mostly for the fact it goes further with the humor than other comedy cartoons such as The Simpsons normally go.
