    A walk...

I went for a walk this afternoon. Here's some pics I took. All taken with the compact (Coolpix 7900...). With a little luck, the DSLR will arrive tommorow \0/ (Click for full size images @ deviantART)

the last one in the woods is very nice, what you need is a tripod, a water fall and a long exposure
well done. oh and watch out for the over saturation, just a touch too green

I'd hate to bring the vegatarian thread in here, but <sarcasm> those cows look like they have a really poor quality of life </sarcasm>

    Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

Heh heh! They don't say Welsh lamb is good for nothing

No waterfalls nearby, shiato storm... But I am (soon) going to be able to fiddle with long exposures

Agree on the saturation. My camera doesn't seem too hot on lots of lush greenery ~ it's either a wee bit too saturated, or waaaay under saturated (if I lower it)...

That said, the last pic is a pretty good representation of what it was like IRL ~ The sun really burst through for a minute or so, and illuminated the river and its surroundings beatifully :>

love those sorts of shots - when the sun bursts through the trees, but find them a real pain to try and capture cause of the huge variations in light level
