    Videos (Coffee and Geeks)

On the 16th EvilWeevil and I broke our personal record at Caffe Nero, Tonbridge. We had a camera with us so decided to film it! Did a quick edit on Thursday afternoon before supper. It was shot on a Samsung VP-D230 MiniDV camcorder and edited in InterVideo WinDVD Creator (simple but effective). Here's the low quality one (6.3 megs)...

Many thanks to the Matt Wates Sextet for permission to use their music.

There was quite a bit we had to cut out due to unsuitability, however we've left our favourite bits in. The bit before the title is pure genius and totally unplanned. We were trying to get an art house-ish style production (don't hold us to it!). Please forgive my voice I hate it (turn up the volume and you'll hear stuff about writing LISP with a line of parentheses and French orals). Nero started playing some rubbish music in the background near the end which pissed us off, however it's not too bad.

Enough writing hope you enjoy it.

Then there's Geeks of the Caribbean.

Was a quicky before going to sleep (took about 25 mins to shoot and edit). Click the image to download. 1.8 megs.

Think the music matches the colour perfectly, very moody.
Now I know Tonbridge is boring (lived here for 30 years), but just a few doors down the road is the pub, much better place to invest the money. Although guaranteed a lot more unsteady shots towards the end. You two both at Tonbridge school?

    Funkstar:

Sound is compulsory in this, it's most of the experience

    Flibb:

    1. Glad you like the music
    2. Glad you think Tonbridge is boring - imo it's pretty useless to! Without the schools it would probably not really be as much as it is now anyway.
    3. Pubs don't offer the same similar filmability to Coffee and Cigarettes and is harder to break records
    4. Age is somewhat a problem and considering that I'm 16 in 11 days and Tom/EvilWeevil is 16 in just over 8 months. That may be a slight problem pub wise. Also considering what we both look like fake IDs really have no chance of working!
    5. Indeedy, both at Tonbridge School (Tom second year, me third)

    OTHER NOTES:

    1. The high quality one, is pretty much DVD quality and the audio is great v. pleased with it
    2. I absolutely love the bit during the titles, just works so well!
