AFAIK this lens aint so hot... Soft with dodgy distortion.

Still, if you're on a tight budget...

well it is only a budget lens , so i wouldnt expect great things but should be good for a first telephoto lens plus it goes for more than £67 on ebay so good resale value for when you upgrade from it to a decent 1

so it's a win/win lens at that price

could be good if you get into a situation where you would be more worried about your lens than the quality of photos too. Although, i would be using my compact in those situations anyway.

That lens is ghastly by all accounts, not even useable over 200mm

better off spending £120 on the sigma apo dg from onestop-digital as from what i hear that lens isnt too hot.

Does the VAT reclaim work well with onestop-digital? Their lenses are good value if they do.

not had to use it yet, but i hear it does. i bought a nikon sb-600 flash from them and they packaged it as a repaired gift valued at 30 euros, so i dont think the vat would be very much anyway !
