Question about Sky+ and TFT monitors with S-Video and/or composite

Can I connect a Sky+ box directly up to a Dell 2005FPW which has composite and s-video connections. (could the scart socket on the sky box connect to the composite input on the Dell monitor?)

    yes.

i believe a sky+ box has a dedicated s-vid out? in which case hook this up to your s-vid in.

cool (I dont have a 2055fpw at the moment, I am thinking of getting one though...)

question though, what about speakers? What type of connection would a set of pc speakers need to connect to the sky+ box?

    thanks again

My Pace Sky+ box only has analogue phono & digital optical out so you would probably need to hook the box up to an amp & then connect your speakers to the amp. (Depending on the type of PC speakers you have of course)

Anything from £20 to £2000 & above, all we are talking about is a normal hi-fi seperates amp.

I have my desktop pc hooked up to a hi-fi amp with small satellite speakers & sub connected to the amp. It actually works really well.

dont think so. you could use a y-splitter to combine your pc speaker output with your sky+ output though - pretty easy to do - and then just plug the speakers into there (presuming you already have speakers), or run the sky+ into the line in on your sound card and just have that outputting whenever your pc is on.
