Can I connect a Sky+ box directly up to a Dell 2005FPW which has composite and s-video connections. (could the scart socket on the sky box connect to the composite input on the Dell monitor?)

yes.
i believe a sky+ box has a dedicated s-vid out? in which case hook this up to your s-vid in.

cool (I dont have a 2055fpw at the moment, I am thinking of getting one though...)
question though, what about speakers? What type of connection would a set of pc speakers need to connect to the sky+ box?
thanks again
how much would such an amp cost?
could I use this http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...ONTENTID=10050 to connect my pc speakers to the sky box? or not. im just wondering about space, my desk probably cant handle a hifi, sky box and a 2005fpw
dont think so. you could use a y-splitter to combine your pc speaker output with your sky+ output though - pretty easy to do - and then just plug the speakers into there (presuming you already have speakers), or run the sky+ into the line in on your sound card and just have that outputting whenever your pc is on.
