    Photo Uploading

    Ok hello everyone.

I am a keen novice photographer who likes to take and then share his photos.

Is there a FREE website that allows me to upload my photos in batches, i.e. so i dont have to find each one on my harddrive and then upload them.

Also the photo thing needs to be accesible by other people, sort of like a photobook.

So does anyone know of/recommend any websites that allow me to do this, and hopefully allow me to organise the photos, so i can subdivide/organise photos into groups to make it easier to browse etc.

Oh last thing one that has adequate storage for a fair few photos, so i can upload the majority of them. I know high storage and free/low cost are paradoxical but i am sure it can be done

    Thanks in Anticipation

    Ian

PS. What do you use / recommend is basically the jist of this, altho i dont want to have the hassle of creating my own website and then editing html etc. Plus needs to allow batch photo uploading as that is something that i couldnt live without.

does it allow for batch uploading?

as that is one thing that i really want; i hate the ones where you need to upload one by one etc.

also does anyone know of a program that can batch resize photos? and possible add watermarks? (for mac) - free or near too of course

    cheers

Sorry for the two posts. But these first ones are the most recent ones (taken today) the ones near the end are the older ones from around and before xmas.

i used a nifty little program, iwatermark for mac to resize and watermark the images if anyone is wondering, however i am just going to look at other options before i buy it! it really is easy to use; and has a lot of features

I like flickr... the tags are useful. Though it maybe a bit too simple for you.

DA's not really an image host though is it

its designed for shows-casing and commenting on peoples art work be it drawing, photos or poetry

you got any kind friends with web hosting who'll create a subdomain with FTP access?

I seem to use Flickr. In terms of batch uploading you can upload 6 at a time whilst adding "tags" You can also arrange them into sets. As a normal registered user you can create 3 sets but upgrade your account and you can have more.

There are other ways of batch uploading to Flickr :http://www.flickr.com/tools/
