Heh. It's a hoodie. A quite frankly garish item of clothing, if I'm honest. But it's just that. Added to the pot, a logo. Put a quiksilver logo on the back, and you're mustard. Put an AFI logo, and someone can be accused of only liking the band's image rather than their music?Originally posted by Howard
I don't see the point... I like the music because I like it, not just because I want to show it off to people.
Utter bull.
Sorry Howard, but I'm falling way, way short of seeing your point. Every gig I've been to, I've usually bough an item of clothing. Or something. Just to remember it by. It is, afterall, how they earn a living! I'll quite happily wear the various band/concert/rave t-shirts I have, knowing that when I see someone else wearing them, or someone comments on it, there's a bond. A common interesting.
I guess you're pretty p*ssed at the sudden influx of England Rugby tops? No-one's even bothered by Rugby, England get into the final, all of a sudden everyone's a Rugby fan? I wear a Rugby top. I've got a few England Rugby tops. Do I wear them for face, because it's "trendy" [if ever there was a word I could make vanish]? No.
Not to want to put a downer on this thread, but there really are much more important things to be getting your g-strings in a twist than some dude wearing a Metallica t-shirt who can't name 5 of their songs.
Really.

It does amuse me when certain groups refer to other groups as "townies" or "trendies" when they are as equally offenders of the crimes they are accusing the other parties of.

I'll get down off my high-horse now. I'm getting a bit dizzy.
