No offence to those who love it (I've met a lot of them) but was there the other day, don't want to go back!
Like the second pic particularly
depends where you go, if you were in the centre of town, I can't blame you. full of chavs and horrid.Originally Posted by Matt1eD

lol
http://shrinkster.com/gu0 was where I was. Went from the bus station to Watershed then up anchor road to the (eugh) TravelLodge, did a bit of exploring around Park Street & Row and Queen's Road but tbh a very small radius. I'll take your word for it, so many people claim it to be great.
yes, the central bit down at the bottom of the hill is, well, chav central. if only you'd wandered a bit further up towards the suspension bridge through clifton village you'd probably realise its not all that bad. mind you park street's ok, nice coffee bars up the top. might have been busy when you were up with graduating students, think they're all done now though. just off park street is brandon hill, with the tower in it (can't miss it if you saw it), you can even go up it for unrivalled views of the town.Originally Posted by Matt1eD
I'm lucky to live up the top of clifton so when i go across the bridge for a bike ride I'm in proper rural country, tractors and all, just minutes away from the city centre. top stuff that.

You have converted me, I'll just avoid the centre then!
This was an amusing bit of artwork:
Very little of it seemed to have been built!
Wireless hotspots weren't so hot
And the nightlife consisted of...
^^^
Being harsh there but you get the idea. Nope I'll give it another go then!
interstingly that wall art was at the centre of a council arguement with locals, everyone likes it but the council want to take it down. after a petition the people got to keep it there - typically councils finding trouble or causing it for no reason at all.
and yes, there are much nicer places than those you show here...next time eh

Who did the art? Is there anymore around the place?
