im in london and can see the moon propa clearly.. was gonna take a pic but camera is awful at night (sooo blurry) and unfocused so wont bother with pic

nice and clear skys here at last , hope its like this on saturday night, should make for some good meteor viewing conditions when the perseids peak apart from the huuuge moon anyway

gonna take some pics now and will post if any good

Not as sharp as I'd like, but I think that might be down to my lens being a bit soft at full telephoto..

Liking the picture Stoo, just had a wonder out onto my balcony and could see nothing. Will keep an eye out for the moon tomorrow.

here's my best moon shot , also tried doing some star shots but they turn rather washed out after a minute due to the glare of the moon so not as good as could be

did however see a meteor while i was out there

that line is a washing line btw not a meteor or spaceship flying across shot

that could well be be as you took the shot as f45!

I tried a few shots, but couldn't really get anything decent. I'll have a go with tripod and remote tomorrow so that I can use the settings I want!

That was the only way I could take the picture without it massively over-exposing for some reason..

The f10 shots just came out blurred and overexposed :/

actually - if my exif reader's doing its job right - you shot at f45...most lenses, particularly on digital, lose their sharpness beyond about f11/f16 - go look up circle of confusion - so next time I'd suggest f/16 at most and see how that goes. should be decent enough
