H150i CAPELLIX Fans and SP120 RGB fans on one node?

I’m planning an rgb build and have the corsair 4000x case with the front 3 SP120 rgb fans and lighting node core.

I want all the rgb fans to be the same so they don’t look odd and reduce the number of cores/cables needed.

The original plan was to get a h150i pro xt and replace the fans with sp120s so they match and there are no issues with the one lighting node.

Having looked at the specs of the capellix fans they have 8 addressable leds, similarly to the sp120s.

I had a look on the Corsair forums and read something about some fans such as the QL and LL’s not working on the same node because of the led types and number of them.

So my question is, can I connect all 6 fans to the commander core that comes with the capellix and maintain all functionality?

I have the 115 Capellex (140cm) with 4000x and yes, you can control all the LEDs provided the have the 4pin RBG header. You are better taking out the node and adding the additional commander node and fan control. It will work either way.

I will add that there isn't much control over the fans (rpm), basically you have three settings and a static percentage.

I'm trying to get them to add a temperature stepping RPM.
