The memory runs great with this board. It's Micron D9 and there are no compatibility issues.
Thanks but I have fixed this issue now, here is the acvite post:

In the end it was a new bios that fixed it for me.
Hi boys, I am working with the Intel D975XBX2 and I have to say it will take anything you throw at it.
I am not a gamer although if I had time to throw away I and was laid up in a hospital bed after a train wreck I'd love it too now getting back to the headlines. The issue on this page I’ve been there and done this all. Yellow beard is right he has not leaded you astray. BUT in my case using anything else then what my board specs allow well it would be just a waste of time and your wee brain cells that are rolling around up there if you’re using that head. LOL If a board specs say pc-6400 and you are constipating using pc-8500; why? It said pc-6400 next case. Buy a pc-8500 board there are too many issues using the wrong pc-xxxx and settings. Ok somebody tell me how to unlock the multiplier from it’s factory setting x9 on my board and get it to read more then let’s say 2.40 GHz in CPU-Z. And lets say we use the Corsair DOMINATOR TWIN CM2X4096-6400C4D.
Thz!
You can either use a memory divider and/or increase the FSB on the Bad Axe 2.
Thz for your speedy reply YB. I have a choice to make and I would like you to help me make it. My opinion is to select the Corsair Dual Channel 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2 x 2048MB) over the TWIN2X4096-8500C5D G. I just have a gut feeling this choice would be the best choice by giving me the fastest speeds. Which memory would you choose if you were to choose for the fastest performance?
Thz!
On a Bad Axe 2, PC 6400 is very good. "IF" you CPU OC will allow you to go much past DDR800, then get the 1066. But, most people do well on that board with the 6400. If you have the option get the DHX PC6400C4 4096 kit and you should be good to go.
I am Building this unit I have a testy lil' devil giving me a wee scare.
Trojan.Zlob; created a filename A0005090.exe and A0003101.exe so far in slave drive f:\system Volume Information\_restore {JFGFG-GR-SO-ON}
And again f:\system Volume Information\_restore {HJUK-JUGFJ-TJTYJ}
The {KFGJNGJNKGTRJNIG} are examples.
Norton said “Trojan.Zlob” I was able to delete them and I did twice. But they reappear.
I am running the updated version of Spyware Doctor and Norton Corp and still this (Trojan.Zlob) testy lil' devil is hovering over my PC like locus.
F is an external drive I use to back-up my files. Like to have a sure fire way to clobber the old boys
Anyone know how to clobber this lil' turkey and its brothers and sisters?????
Thank you for your help today YB.
Got it fixed!!!!!
Attention: YB=Yellowbeard I believe I've got it. Yesterday I told you I have the Intel D975XBX2 and the Corsair DOMINATOR CM2X1024-6400C4D.
I will Next week install the DOMINATOR TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX G.
I would defiantly have to adjust the BIOS settings to accommodate these bad boys.
Please I would like you to help me with these settings
In BIOS mode I am going to give you some settings that I do not understand and if I do understand I believe I have the over clocking concept.
First: memory voltage 1.80-2.12 set@ (2.12).
Second: non-ECC-ECC set@ non-ECC.
Third: tRASmin 4-18 set@ 4-4-4-12
Fourth: PCI Express Burn-in Mode Percentage; Default-109.24MHZ (several between MHz to 101.32MHz.
Fifth: Processor voltage set@ 3.75v
Sixth: X9 multiplier (Can I change this setting?) I do understand while idle goes from x9 multiplier to x6 multiplier and runs between 2400GHz (x9) to 1600GHz (x6).
This would be marvelous if I know the settings then I can get the hang of it and with time be pretty good at it.
Thz!
I hope this did not stump ya. LOL
Yo Yellowbeard what link is where I post a new post? I have a funny thing happen; have "Raid" (SATA II) and when my pc fired up this morning I have "SATAI; what's down with that?
And another funny thing I have a 320GB HDD and have to have my other SATA II 160GB before I can configure my HDD. Why; because when I configure it; it has a pop-up that reads "not enough space". I found this strange when I have both up and running just fine. What is your take on this?
Thank You Very Much
Where is the link so I can post a new post?
Thz!
