I've just upgraded my P5K-E board from 2GB upto 8GB (4x2GB), my problem is that the system is not
stable when running the memory at 1066MHz (BSODs, app crashes etc).
I have set the correct timings and voltage for the memory, I even upped it to 2.2v from the recomended 2.1v. I have also tried various other settings in the bios but still the system becomes unstable. The system becomes stable by dropping the memory down to 800MHz.
I've contacted ASUS regarding this and their suggestion is and I quote "Please try to configure the latency of your RAM to larger values, such as CL, tRCD, tRP, tRAS, and try again. Also, please try to add more voltage to RAM according to the claimed voltage from the RAM manufacturer to test."
Do you have any advice or point me in the right direction? Don't want to fry the buggers I thought 2.2v was enough!
