i currently have 8gb (2x 4gb) of vengence C8 ram, due to my cpu cooler i am unable to fit another set of normal vengence (cooler blockes the first dim slot), will there be any problems if i was to get the vengence low-profile 8gb set which is C9? would i be able to run the LP at C8? or would it be better to run the C8 set at C9?
try it and find out.. it defaults to the slower timings.

you dont think there will be any negitive affects to it? other than the obvious of running the C8 at C9
nope, thats half the fun of overclocking, seeing how fast you can set the timings
most of the time u will be fine with corsair.

You should be fine it will probably just run at C9 at first but you can tinker with the timings
