I don't know if anyone has read this yet, but here is an "Ivy Bridge preview with GIGABYTE Z77X-UD5H (Intel Z77) and Core i5 3570K" courtesy of Tweaktown:

Two new previews:
3770k
Overclocking of both
Phage (25-03-2012)
So overclocking ability is a bit lower than Sandy Bridge?? Temperatures look very high too like other Ivy Bridge overclocking articles have mentioned.
Another interesting point,I have noticed in a few other reviews too - the FX8150 when overclocked, seems to not have that much higher idle power consumption unlike SB or IB!
Well those are said to be early engineering samples so lets hope the final product outshines them. I dont mind if it matches SB seeing ad IB uses less power. But if it is a weaker overclocker i'd be very disappointed.
Cheers for the reviews guys!
Personally, I will be disappointed if these results are indicative of the real world performance. SuperPi is such a rubbish way of benchmarking a CPU I completely ignore it. Hopefully, IB will be around 10% faster than SB and use less power.
Also secretly hoping that Quicksync sees much higher performance as transcoding's pretty much the only thing that really benefits from faster CPU's these days.

im going to get the intel core i5 3570k sometime next month man im so excited because im build my first computer hell yea
Indeed, have fun building your new rig . Samples always heat up worse than production models, but due to the slightly different build the heat production through OC might still ramp up more than the SB CPUs. All in all I guess 5-15% will be there and as they ship at the same price as current SB models, its an easy decision, unless you want to OC heavily, in which case I would wait for a better stepping.
As my wife requires a new gaming PC, my main rig will be remodeled for her use and a new system is in order, so I will be keen on how it performs, however I am not sure if the i5 2550 equivalent vs the i7 will be enough to let me part with another £80 or invest said money into a better Graphicsunit such as the 680, though I am still unsure if the 680 will not be topped with the GK110 soon, as normall the **104 release tends to be the cut down version, but I may be wrong
Has anyone heard if we have pricing information on the I5-3570K yet? Not even pre-orders showing, why is the price such a secret hehe
The price in Greece (that is epxensive) will be 225€ the 3570K and 335€ the 3570K
Kinda what i expected....thanks for that
I'm in the middle of gaming PC upgrade but still can't decide what CPU should I get: 2500k or 3570k. Will wait a week or two to see some users reviews - worried about heat issue when overcloaking.
Been lurker, registered to say thanks for links and stuff. Helped me make my mind up when building a new system. Gonna go for a 3570k, I'm fine with a modest 4.4-5Ghz overclock.
Overclocking temps aren't really an issu depending on cooling. Clock for clock there's only a couple of degree's in it, you only notice it more when you push 5Ghz, and the difference in temp between them becomes apparent. The CPU can take more heat though as it has a Tmax has a max of 105 deg C, whereas SB i think were on 90/95.
