AMD roadmaps leaked:

FX and APU replacements on FM3 platform in 2016.
I wonder what happened to Nolan? Maybe that's what Carrizo-L is? It's interesting to see Amur on 20nm though - many rumours were suggesting it would still be 28nm, however given the sort of part it is, 20nm probably makes much more sense - 4xA57 on 28nm probably wouldn't compete to well by the time it's released.
However that roadmap seems pretty solid, hopefully execution is good too!
AMD is at the mercy of GF,TSMC and Samsung. As long as they hit their targets,it will help AMD!
Samsung (and possibly GloFo) having LPE 14nm in volume production gives us something to be optimistic about.
Hopefully!!
Also, the R9 390X is supposedly going to be not a long card:

Thank GOD. I was hoping this would happen with the shift of the memory into HBM. As someone who is very keen on mITX, I have had to pass on some cards because of the length. Now, if OEMs could actually build around this instead of just slapping the same cooler on every card, I would be very happy.
I am a SFF PC fan too, although the R9 390 and R9 390X are probably going to be way out of what I want to spend on a new graphics card though!!
The PCB might be small, but power dissipation might still be a problem in a small case.
Blower designs might be OK - using it as an example again but that Steam Box with the Titan managed fine.
This article says the roadmap is fake:

Well we'll find out on Wednesday hopefully.
I (passively) watched that AMD livestream, it might show up on Youtube later if you missed it.
From the bits I caught it seems Zen comes before K12, desktop FX comes first in 2016, ~40% IPC improvement over Excavator. SMT architecture, FinFET.
Socket AM4 shared with APUs.
'High core count'.
New GPU announcement 'in a couple of weeks', HBM memory.
Skybridge dropped - something to do with customers not really needing the ARM/x86 socket-compatibility.
I hope there are decent matx/itx boards available. As far as I know there are *still* no 9x0 based am3+ boards smaller than full atx.
The fact that APUs are on the same platform gives me hope, but could we potentially see a situation where smaller boards have a lower max TDP and won't take full fat FX chips?
There used to be plenty of microATX boards but they seem to have disappeared from the market lately.
I'm not sure about mITX but unlike more modern platforms AM3+ has a Northbridge and Southbridge to fit on the board.
There were OEM mATX 970 based motherboards but none in retail.
BTW,the 40% IPC increase would mean at least 50% more than PD. It would mean in CB R15,Zen would have IPC close to that of IB and Haswell for single threaded scores.
