AMD Trinity for desktop reviewed by Toms Hardware!!

It does not look too bad:

    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/a10-58...iew-32463.html

However,Turbo Core is supposedly not working as well as it should due to the motherboard support.

"Our power data is interesting, though I’d caution against taking it as gospel. The motherboard vendors we’ve talked to indicate that Turbo Core functionality isn’t working perfectly yet. "

IPC,is meant to be upto 15% better than Bulldozer and that is with no L3 cache.

Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

I just noticed that the A6 dual core is unlocked and that the IGP almost has the same performance in games as an A8-3850!

I think we'll only be able to judge these when AMD reveal pricing. Technically, they're fairly obviously an improvement - definitely over Bulldozer though less clearly over Llano. It's a shame they weren't benchmarked against an FX-4100 - that would've been a very interesting comparison. if the A10 comes in at about the same price as an A8-3870K, they're going to be no-brainers for all-purpose and HTPC builds. Might even consider upgrading mine

That's a brilliant (p)review by Tom's! Waiting on comparisons with IB and the 3870k too.

Comparison with some results from other reviews

    ABBY Finereader 10

So this looks faster than a Core i3 2100 in this application.

    Adobe Acrobat

    MainConcept

    HandBrake 0.9.5.

    iTunes

In many applications it seems to be around the same level as a 3.2GHZ to 3.4GHZ Phenom II X4,and many do much better on a Phenom II X4 than a Llano A8 due to L3 cache.

In some applications, performance is better than any current AMD CPU.

I suspect that with L3 cache,Vishera might have very close to Deneb IPC but hitting much higher clockspeeds.

In multi-threaded applications the FX8350 is probably going to very competitive with a Core i7 3770K IMHO. In applications such as gaming,I suspect lightly threaded thread performance is going to surpass Deneb by a reasonable amount.
