I'm planning a new build based on a 3570K and Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H soon. My case has a 12cm in front and another at the rear, both in line with the motherboard CPU socket. The graphics card runs near enough in line with the top of the HDD cage so the two of those more or less completely isolate the upper section of the motherboard, creating a sort of tunnel from the intake fan on the front to the exhaust fan at the rear.
So I'm thinking about what cooler to use and I'm seeing a lot of tower-type ones with multiple heatpipes (Nocuta, Evo 212, Prolimatech Megahalems etc.) on the market now (been out of PC building for a little while). I'm wondering, with the case layout the way it is, can I do this without having to run a fan on the CPU cooler at all?
