If you are thinking about upgrading I'd personally look into Vishera chips than old BD chips. FX-4300 or for a midge more the FX-6300.

PHII 945 is a good chip, what do you plan on using it for?

    EDIT:
    Smidge, not midge!

An FX-4300 is a superior chip to yours, but only by a touch.

If I were to upgrade I would be looking at an FX-6300 minimum if you are sticking to AMD based board. Plus it's only around £10 more to get that based on Scan.co.uk prices
