    what would work better

i have a old quad core amd phenom 9500 what gpu would work better on it a gts 450 or gtx 260 i no the CPU can bottleneck the GPU so it wont work at full potential

    Re: what would work better

i no the 260 is a better card but when i put it in my pc wat has a amd phonom ii 945 at 3.4 ghz it ran so much faster on my pc but when i put it on my gfs pc it drops in performance coz of the 9500 quad so i was wondering would there still be a bottleneck if using the gts 450 i really dont understad if your cpu will bottleneck the gpu

    Re: what would work better

The fact that a 450 is so slow that it might not be bottlenecked by the CPU in so many situations does not make it a card that would work better than the 260.

Yet again, stick with the 260.

If you have both cards, give it a go.

I wouldn't spend any money on the exercise though.
