Which is best between these two?

I have found two intel cpu's but the shop seems to sell the better chip cheaper than the other =/

    The two are :

    Intel Core i7 4930K 3.40GHZ Socket 2011 12MB - £454

    And

    Intel Core i7 3930K 3.20GHz Socket 2011 12MB - £464

Now the price difference is tiny and usually the more expensive one is best... but on paper the 4930 looks better and its cheaper ???

Can some one explain which one i should pick.. i hear alot of people say the 3930 is the best for its price but now i seen the prices i'm a bit confused

The usual advice is to go for 3930K because it's performance is somewhat similar to the 4930k (the latter being 5-10% faster) and its cheaper than the newer one.

But in this case, Im pretty sure the 4930K should be the obvious choice (if this is the only place where you can buy from).

The 3930K is based on Sandybridge E and the 4930k is based on Ivybridge E and has only been out a couple of months. The 4930k is faster and slightly more energy efficient and at £10 cheaper is the best choice.

You are building quite a beast there sir, I must say.
But as been said, 4930k over 3930k. Just the base parameters are already better (excluding the architectural advantages) with the 4930k.
Make sure you choice the right MoBo.

4930k more efficient and generally better overall.

Re: Which is best between these two?

Well, the cheapest around of those CPUs are from ARIA, £395.99 for the i7-3930k and £431.99 for the i7-4930k.
The £30 difference looks still diminishable when comparing these CPUs.
