Interesting, slightly slower than my daughter's 5800K PC, what ram are you using? Hers is 1600MHz CL9

Re: Hexus Cinebench R15 benchmark thread

Heres my score using the spec listed in my user cp.

I do find cinebench scores tend to jump up and down a bit, for instance I ran it just the multicore and scored 871 but this time when I ran it for the screenshot it was 867.

ignore the voltage cpu-z reports, it obvously isnt reading it properly, 1.7 and i'd have to say my cpu wouldnt be among the living lol

Both machines have 2133, although I'll be swapping the ram in the Athlon box to 1600 soon. I saw that your score was higher so I ran the test a couple of times on both machines but it made no difference. Perhaps it's to do with power (both PSU and VRMs) or cooling and yours is turboing more?

It does have a Phenom heatsink & fan which helps, but then it is in a Silverstone SG02 which is pants for airflow. The Windows install is quite stripped down though.

She does only have a 1280x1024 monitor, perhaps that helps RAM accesses.

Or Gigabyte do something to cheat in the BIOS.

    Perhaps I am guessing

Bought a 4770k when OcUK had them for £240 - mainly to remove bottleneck on tri-fire.

Re: Hexus Cinebench R15 benchmark thread

I did a multi-threaded score for my Windows 8 laptop before I sell it. Was painfully slow so didn't do the single-threaded score.

When I am home this weekend I'll find some time to run the benchmark on my Mother's laptop, my desktop and when my HTPC is back up and running on that as well.

    EDIT:
Here is my gaming rig score

    Parents i3 Laptop

All done with the computers I currently have available. Will do others when I get access to them.

At what point will be the results compiled into a spreadsheet, if I may ask out of curiosity? Would love to use it as a reference while suggesting components.

It's done, there is a post somewhere in here where I mentioned it would start. There's now a link in my sig.

Re: Hexus Cinebench R15 benchmark thread

About the spreadsheet, I've update my results for the laptop with single threaded as well, also my 2500K results are swapped around (multi-threaded is actually the single threaded score and vice versa).

So I'm rebuilding a relic for family, thought I'd run this for a laugh!

    Intel Core2Duo e6300 (Conroe/65nm version) @ 2.8GHz - 78/54/1.43x

I'm quite surprised by the low multiplier, I might re-run it this evening in case one core was busy while the benchmark was running.

My money would be on the FSB bottlenecking the cores, tbh. e6300 is a 1066 FSB, isn't it?

At stock, yes, but I bumped the base clock to 400, giving 2.8GHz and 1600FSB. I miss ye olde Conroes, 1.86GHz -> 2.8GHz without a vcore increase is nice
